The “Start” to our season is our annual Start Meeting. This meeting is held in early October due to sign up deadlines for some of the race programs. It’s also a great time to start getting plans made for the upcoming ski season. The time and location of this meeting is listed on the GPST Bulletin Board on our Home Page and the GPST Calendar of Events on this website. An e-mail notification will also be sent to all GPST members that we have a current e-mail address. Please invite anybody you know that might be interested in any part of the Granite Peak Ski Team including people that just want to help support downhill racing.
Coaching Development – December
GPST runs a Coaches Development Clinic in December. Please check the GPST Calendar of Events and the GPST Bulletin Board.
GPST will participate in fund-raisers in order to keep our membership fees as low as possible and purchase necessary equipment.
GPST Awards “Finish” Banquet (end of the season)
Our “Finish” Banquette is to celebrate the success and fun of the winter ski racing season. This banquette is scheduled to include all of our GPST Programs and avoid Spring Break, therefore, the timing of this banquette will change yearly please check the GPST Bulletin Board on our home page and the GPST Calendar of events. Season awards and door prizes are awarded. During the Finish Banquette three adults are elected to the GPST Board of Directors.
The GPST Board of Directors is ultimately responsible for all programs and finances of the GPST. Three Board Members are elected each year at the Finish Meeting and server for a two ear term. The Board meets monthly August - April. A schedule of the Board Meeting can be found on the Calendar of Events web page on this website.
