There are three classes of competition in the Alpine Skiing:
Citizens: The Citizens class is for people with limited or no racing experience. Any skier with good directional control. Volunteer members of the National Ski Patrol without racing experience. NASTAR racers consistently achieving bronze medal or below.
Masters: Racers who have participated in any type of organized race program(s) including: USSA WAJRA, High School Ski Team, any Local/Regional ski race competition. Consistant gold or silver winner in NASTAR. We recommend all 1999 Badger State Games gold metal winners returning within the same age division (remove "must") move to Masters.
Open: Must be 18 or older to compete in this classification. Race coaches, Ski instructors, professional ski patrol, any paid skiing professional or any other racer (over 18) wanting to challenge themselves ath the highest level of competition. We recommend all previous Masters Badger State Games gold medal winners over 18 returning within the same age division move to Open.
GPST strongly encourages our members to participate in the Badger State Games or support them through your volunteer efforts.
