Badger State Winter Games

Badger State Winter Games will be held at Granite Peak Ski Area March 7, 2026.

The timing and awards for alpine ski racing will be conducted by GPST.

Badger State Winter are held in Wausau at Granite Peak Ski Area. Alpine (Downhill) Ski Racing is one of the many events offered. The other events are listed on the Badger State Games site.

There are two divisions of competition in the Alpine Skiing:

Citizens: The Citizens class is for people with limited or no racing experience. Any skier with good directional control. Volunteer members of the National Ski Patrol without racing experience. NASTAR racers consistently achieving bronze medal or below.

Masters: Racers who have participated in any type of organized race programs including: USSA, WAJRA, High School Ski Team, any Local/Regional ski race competition. Consistent gold or silver winner in NASTAR. We recommend all previous Badger State Games gold medal winners returning within the same age division move to Masters.

GPST strongly encourages our members to participate in the Badger State Games or support them through your volunteer efforts.
