Attention all GPST and Non-GPST ski racers:  Granite Peak Ski Team's GS Camp begins Wednesday, December 15.  This GS SPEED Camp is open to all teams and athletes (U8-U19) throughout the Midwest.  This 3-day camp is open to all alpine race team athletes (U8-U19) throughout the Midwest and costs $75/Day (the fee does NOT include lift ticket).     NOTE:  This camp is FREE to current registered GPST Members.

 

Athletes enrolled in Thanksgiving Camp should report by 9 AM each morning to the NEW GPST Learning Center at the top of Granite Peak Ski Area in RIB MOUNTAIN STATE PARK.  Camp will end each day at 4 PM.

 

If you are unable to make all three days, that is OK... but it is important to get early season GS Gate Training as soon as possible.  

 

Camp Focus will be developing strong free skiing fundamentals and the introduction to the “GPST Way.” We will be setting two (2) courses (U8-U14 & U16-U19 & College Athletes) each day to work on Tactics and Technical aspects of Giant Slalom.  NOTE:  High School Coaches will be able to get timed runs for their team “seeding”.  Timing will be set up for both courses. GPST and/or visiting coaches will also be directing Giant Slalom Free Skiing Drills. 

 

What is Needed for the GPST Christmas GS Speed Camp:

• GS Skis
• GS suit (if you have one)
• Helmet & Ski Poles
• Water bottle
• Tennis Shoes for Morning Warmup
• A GREAT ATTITUDE!
