Since 1987, GPST has strived to provide a range of fun-filled events and racing programs to young athletes, from entry-level race training through elite race competition. Our mission is to operate a professionally run alpine ski program that provides the highest quality training environment in Wisconsin, offering every athlete the opportunity to reach their highest potential not only as ski racers, but as active participants in school, community, and life.
GPST is now recognized nationally as a SILVER CERTIFIED CLUB. A silver-level podium certification means that GPST meets standards to serve as an organizational and athletic model for other U.S. Ski & Snowboard clubs: It meets protocols for athletes competing at US Ski & Snowboard events, maintains high levels of financial stability, and demonstrates a consistent and long-standing commitment to both organizational and athletic success.
Certified clubs represent a vital component of US Ski & Snowboard’s talent pipeline, where many Olympians begin. Podium certification is a rigorous process designed for clubs that want to verify and demonstrate their understanding of the best principles and implement best practices into their club.
GPST is the 9th club in the United States to attain Silver Certification. Congratulations to all GPST athletes & coaches for their hard work achieving this recognition.

Athlete development supports the vision and mission of U.S. Ski & Snowboard to provide strong leadership that fosters athletic excellence in accordance with U.S. Ski & Snowboard's core values and design a clear path for achievement in the sports of skiing and snowboarding.
The development of an athlete spans many years. Success requires the support of parents, coaches, clubs and U.S. Ski & Snowboard through quality event production, training teams, projects, and education. U.S. Ski & Snowboard Training Systems are an outline developed by USSS-certified coaches and sport science staff, with the help of top coaches from around the country. Training systems define the optimal training, competition and recovery programming for skiers and snowboarders through each phase of their development to maximize their long-term athletic potential and sport enjoyment.
